Farming has been at the heart of Irish life for centuries, but passing that knowledge on to younger generations is more important now than ever. That’s why we love welcoming schools and students to the farm.
During a visit, Michael and Lisa share the story of Irish farming life through live sheepdog demonstrations. Students don’t just see the dogs at work — they learn how farming shapes the land, the community, and Ireland’s heritage. The intelligence of the Border Collies, combined with Michael’s storytelling and Lisa’s hospitality, makes the experience both fun and educational.
For many students, it’s their first time stepping onto a working farm. They leave with a new appreciation for animals, the environment, and the skills that farmers rely on every day. Teachers often tell us how the visit sparks conversations long after the buses have gone home.
By opening the gates to schools and youth groups, we hope to keep the rhythm of rural life alive — ensuring that Irish farming traditions are not just remembered, but lived and appreciated by the generations to come.
